Tola Ajayi
Mrs Tola Ajayi is a trained nurse and counsellor who is currently the Clinic Manager & Fertility Counsellor at Nordica Fertility Centre, Lagos and also a founding member of the Endometriosis support group (ESGN).
She started her professional career as a staff registered nurse at the Oyo State Broadcasting Corporation and progressed through the ranks of the profession to become the staff nurse midwife at the Oyo state health management board at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. She was clinic manager in a private medical practice for 13 years and thereafter went on to join her spouse to set up Nigeria’s premier fertility clinic- Nordica Fertility Centre, Lagos.
Her 30-year career in the medical profession, fuelled by her childhood passion which ensured she is at the forefront of the struggle to bring awareness about women’s infertility prompted her to get various professional certification and training at the BIORAT fertility Centre, Johannesburg – South Africa, Harvard Medical School, Boston, WPF Therapy training, London and the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM), Budapest- Hungary.
Regarded as an avid champion of women empowerment, she has pillared other foundations to aid fertility treatments, such as the Fertility Awareness Advocacy Initiative (FAAI), The Physicians Roundtable (PRT) and the Fertility Treatment Support Foundation (FTSF) which was established to provide free fertility treatment to couples who are fertility challenged and cannot afford treatment.
She is married to Dr Abayomi Ajayi and together they have raised four lovely children.
